What are these teeny tiny black flying bugs in my bedroom? I live in a rural area. It has rained most of this summer so far. I've been noticing these teeny tiny black flies. They tend to hover in the corners of the room near the ceiling and when you turn on the light they fly toward it. I don't really see them during the day, but at night there are many. I want to prevent them and or get rid of them? How are the getting in the house? Oh and its only my bedroom not any other????? |
| Porbably gnats .... they're reallyu annoying and def appear more in the early summertime. |
Are teeny-tiny turtles hard to take care of? I want a small pet and I find little itty-bitty tiny-teeny turtles to be very cute. But do they require a lot of care? I'm gone most of the day. |
"Itty bitty teeny tiny turtles" are baby Red-ear sliders which grow up to about 10" long and require about $100 in set-up costs.
The sad thing is that they are sold cheap, and everyone is being told that they are easy, carefree pets.
If you raise them the 'easy way'- small bowl, turtle flake food, etc., they will not grow in size and will usually die in about 4 months- rather than the 20-40 years it should live! |
Cats like to sleep in bathtub and seem to splash teeny tiny drops of blood? My two cats (both male) like to sleep in my bathtub when I'm not using it. I have been noticing these little teeny tiny drops of something that is red. I think it is blood. Mostly the size of a pin, but there are several little spots each time I go to take a bath. What on earth could be causing this? Is it from fleas or something? I've never heard of anything like this. |
| It could be fleas, but I would think you would have noticed if they had fleas. A major problem with male cats that eat a totally dry diet is UTIs. Its very common, but its a fairly easy and cheap fix. Are they peeing normally in the litter box? Have you noticed any blood coming from their urine? Take a damp cloth and wipe them after they are done urinating. If there is blood on the cloth, its definitely a UTI and will need antibiotics. If you don't see fleas, then its most definitely time for a vet check up. |
Do i have anything to worry about if my vagina is itchy a teeny tiny bit? My vagina itches a teeny tiny bit. When i pee it does not burn or anythin. Its not swollen nor does it hurt. Its not red... I researched it online. I dont really have the signs of a yeast infection but only the itching part. Yesterday i was itching like crazy but after i showered today, i wasnt really itching as much. Do i have anythin to worry about? |
| Vaginal itching can be caused by allergies, tight underwear, harsh soap, and a yeast infection. . Make sure sure to wear loose fighting underwear. You can also use panty liners to keep yourself clean. Wash with mild soap. Vagisil and Vagistat offer sprays and creams that will help itching and burning. Good luck! |
Do cold sores start off as teeny tiny blisters? i have never had a cold sore in my life but the last week the innercorner of my mouth has been hurting abit like if i had been licking an envelope and got a papercut off it..now there is a teeny tiny blister on the corner of my mouth...is this the start of a cold sore? |
| I don't think so. If you've never had a cold sore before (& you haven't kissed someone with a coldsore recently) then it won't be one. |
How is it that a snail can find my teeny, tiny rose bush in my big, big yard that's full of weeds?!? I've got a pretty big yard that's chuck full of weeds. How is it that these darned snails can find my teeny, tiny rose bush through all this stuff?! |
| Is it spatial representation? Is it olfactory? Is it dead reckoning? Is it land-marking? Take your pick, because we are not that sure yet. You could read, " Wild Minds, What Animals Really Think ", by Marc D. Hauser. This is a popularized compilation of the science done in this area of animal cognition that you may find helpful. |
Teeny, Tiny Small black bugs underneath my Chrysanthamum Leaves? I went to water my Chrysanthamum plant today outside, and noticed these really teeny tiny (about flea sized) black bugs almost Solid underneath the leaves. What could they be? |
I'm not sure, but it does sound like aphids if there are a bunch, and under the leaves. Here is a link on insects that go after mums.
If it is aphids, you'll have to use a pesticide to get rid of them, it won't be easy since they are under the leaves.

Is it okay to leave a teeny tiny splinter in my finger? Is it okay to leave a teeny tiny splinter in my finger?
It's literally a little larger than the dot on this "i". it's very tiny, but I can see it. Can I just leave it in?
edit: it's about the size of this: ' |
| you should try and get it out, it could get infected. if you can't get it out keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get infected, a lot of times the splinter works its way out by itself. |

Teeny, tiny bugs in old cookbooks? I have a 20 year old cookbook that I've used a lot, and hence, spattered, spilled, and splashed bits of food on. Now it has teeny, tiny bugs (just visibile to my eye) in it. How can I get rid of these bugs? Should I freeze the cook book or heat it to get rid of the bugs. Can I safely heat it to 200 degrees without destroying it (does paper really burn only at Farenheight 451)? I want to save this book and have it bug-free! |
| Freezing it sounds like it will work. I wouldn't heat it. Check at places that preserve books,or check the Library, they might know something better. Byee |
